The idea of creating a system for managing appointments and patients, was pitched by a couple of doctors who were searching for a stable and complete solution with strong database in the background.
Using the directives from the doctors and the tools we had in hand, we started working to create a Windows 2000 application. Later on the same year MRS (Medical Record System) was born.
The technology used was Visual C++ with MFC interface library and MSSQL Express relational database. We included features like backup-to-CD using Nero’s SDK, integration with MS Outlook and X-Ray machine bridging.
Through word-of-mouth, doctors wanted to join the “New Data” era. In 2004 we created MRS Dentist edition which featured a teeth graph and more dentist specific features.
In 2008 we release a major upgrade of MRS which had most of the user interface migrated to the .NET for VC++ library.
Attended the Cyprus Dental Association Conference with our own booth, big touch-screen displays and registration promotions!
Iatrico was once again re-written, using the latest technology standards and a more robust, secure and stable framework.
It also found a new virtual home in Amazon Web Services secure and lightning-fast servers in Ireland.
